Hi!

My name is Marjanne and I am the founder of MissyMoestuin. Missy because that used to be my nickname and because it refers to our Mission: to inspire everyone to have a vegetable garden. In addition, we also have a personal mission with our own vegetable garden: to be as self-sufficient as possible with our food. And that works well!

It all started with vegetable gardens from a well-known supermarket chain. Cozy plants in the windowsill and the hope of a home-grown meal. As with so many, most plants unfortunately withered. because I still had that image of growing my own vegetables in my mind, I asked for a book about vegetable gardening for beginners for my birthday. My sister then said: “I can do something with that, I know something fun”, and she gave me the Easy Vegetable Garden book by Jelle. I read the book all the way through and couldn't stop. Soon there were 9 bins in our garden. My husband Jeroen put the boxes together and I took care of them. We were positively surprised by the amount of harvest and also by the fun we had in it. Everyone had to do this! So we quickly became a point of sale to further propagate the concept.

Many pleasant and inspiring conversations with customers in the vegetable garden followed. What nice people all those vegetable gardeners. 

And our vegetable garden just got better and better. A gigantic strawberry bin, some more bins here, some more bins there. A cozy covered place with a picnic table in the middle and last year a real shop.

The shop has now moved inside, to my office. Nice and warm and dry :-).

Daughter became known to the community as MerelyMoestuin. She ran her own vegetable garden at the age of 6. Son doesn't need his own bin yet, but he does eat the chives and winter purslane from our bins while playing outside. And so the kids naturally started eating more vegetables. Because they liked everything that came from their own garden.

In the meantime, my head kept coming up with ideas for additional products that I wanted to bring to the market. And here and there on the internet I came across nice products that seem to me to be a nice addition to your vegetable garden. That is why I have now also started a webshop.  And so ordering for collection has also become even easier. 

And that's what we all want: easy vegetable gardening :-).
